Irrigation is that method that consists of the participation of the water resource through the soil to satisfy the water needs of crops in agriculture and gardening.
The main sources of water for this system are: lakes, rivers, reservoirs or ponds and natural waters such as wells for underground aquifers and wastewater. Having the practice of irrigation as part of the work of crops helps to increase their production, formation of plant biomass and is of great importance for food security. The main irrigation method in the field is flood or furrow irrigation and sprinkler or drip irrigation systems through which they obtain efficient management of water use and its inconveniences with irrigation of crops.
The objective of these irrigation systems is the artificial abstraction of water from the natural environment and take it through the project distribution for its application in the field and promote agricultural production.
